Green Smith Nepal is an organization dedicated to addressing environmental education gaps within schools and communities across Nepal, with a primary focus on waste management and climate change. Aiming to create a sustainable and eco-conscious future, through targeted initiatives we empower students, educators, and communities to take meaningful action toward environmental stewardship. We aim to reduce waste generation, promote waste segregation, recycling, and composting, and raise awareness about the environmental and social impacts of waste. We also work to mitigate and adapt to climate change by implementing renewable energy projects, green transportation initiatives, tree planting campaigns, and climate education programs.

Mission

Our mission is to create a zero-waste society and a low-carbon economy in Nepal by providing adequate infrastructure comprehensive training programs, workshops, capacity building activities, cleanup campaigns, and community consultations.

Vision

Our vision is to establish a Greener & Cleaner Nepal where every school & community serves as a hub for environmental education and waste is seen as a resource and not just a problem; where people live in harmony with nature and practice sustainable lifestyles.

Goals

We aim to divert at least 60% of generated waste toward composting, recycling and reuse pathways by increasing waste segregation practices in schools and communities through infrastructure setup, training programs, workshops, and capacity-building activities.

Comprehensive Training Programs

We conduct year-long training programs for students, teachers, and community members. These programs cover waste management techniques, sustainable practices, and the importance of environmental conservation.

Cleanup Campaigns

We organizes regular cleanup campaigns in schools and surrounding areas. By actively involving students and community members, we instill a sense of responsibility and pride in maintaining a clean environment.

Summer and Winter Camps

Our camps bring together schools from rural and urban Nepal. Participants engage in discussions on waste management, climate change, sustainable development, and the circular economy. These camps foster cross-learning and inspire innovative solutions.
